Akash makes a big impression in F4 debut

Bengaluru lad Akash Gowda, a class 12th student of Indus International School, had a good outing in  the recently concluded Formula 4 Race South East Asia Championship 2016.

The championship consisted of 6 rounds, with 6 races in each round, making it 36 races in the season.

The races were held across South East Asia. With 457 points, Akash was awarded the second runner-up in the championship. Akash had many ups and downs in these series of races, and the Indian put across a great show to be on the podium for 14 times to be crowned the second runner-up in the championship.

Speaking on the occasion he said, “It gives me a lot of confidence as I was able to win the 3rd place in my first international debut, I am very thankful to my mentor Armaan Ebrahim for his support and guidance.”

With his outstanding performance in his formula-4 SEA series, Akash was felicitated with the Meritus Award – ‘National Raising Star Award – India’.
