Allegations by Ramadas are baseless: R Murthy

Mysuru, March 30:- “Former minister and BJP leader S A Ramadas’  allegations that houses distributed under Ashraya scheme have not done been properly and that no houses were distributed in K R constituency are baseless,” said city Congress president R Murthy at a press meet at Mysuru press club here on Friday.

“All the documents Ramadas released at the press meet are fabricated. It has no signatures of any official or Ashraya committee president. We will register a complaint with the MCC commissioner for a detailed inquiry,” Murthy added.

“The greed of both Ramadas and his brother Srikanth Das were explained in Vijayabhaskar report. They have sold the same site at Malalavadi to three different people. He is making false allegations as he can’t digest the popularity of MLA M K Somashekhar,” he said.

“When Ramadas said that he would get the potholes by hook or crook, he might have forgotten that his party BJP and JD(S) were in power in MCC,” he added.

Corporator Jagadish clarified that he and his wife are residents of Chamundeshwari constituency and under no circumstances, they could take an Ashraya house in K R constituency, as alleged by Ramadas.

Ashraya committee member of K R constituency, Nasir Pasha said that the allegations made by Ramadas were far from the truth.

He said that the person in the video released by Ramadas was known to him and Ramadas was misusing the old video. He also alleged that Ramadas had collected money from people, assuring of Ashraya houses and used the money for election purposes when he was in power.

Congress leaders Dairy Venkatesh, Sadiq Ulla Rehman, Suhail Ahmed, Talim Sharif were present. (MR/KMR).
