Life threat allegation, youth attempts suicide

Mysuru, May 11:- A youth attempted to commit suicide following an alleged life threat from the president of Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC). The youth is identified as Kumar, 28, a resident of Mavinahalli in Mysuru taluk.

In a death note, Kumar had written, “APMC president Siddegowda and Sujatha have threatened me not to get involved over a site issue. If I do, they would file a rape case on me and murder me.” He also wrote the name of the sub- inspector of Jayapura Police Station, Mahesh.

Kumar, who is seriously ill, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.  (KS, NGB)
