State govt decision on lecturers’ salary criticised

Mysuru, July 27:- M Lakshman of the Congress, who lost Legislative Council polls, has condemned government decision not to include the special allowance of lecturers along with their salary.

Lakshman said that a meeting will be held to discuss the future course of action on July 28 at 3 pm at Institution of Engineers (India) Hall on JLB Road here.

He urged the state government to rollback the decision of not giving special allowance along with salary. He alleged that the implementation of the Kumara Nayak report will make the government-aided school teachers and lecturers deprived of HRA and DA. He said that he doesn’t oppose the decision of the state government to waive off the loans of farmers. He raised doubts over the Janata Dal (Secular) saying calling off FPS and implementing OPS in its manifesto and not implementing it.

He expressed his sadness over MLC Marithibbegowda not speaking about the problems of teachers.

He requested teachers and lecturers to attend the meeting on July 28. (MR/KMR).
