Mysuru, October 28:- “Along with overall development of the taluk, emphasis should be given to education,” said MLA C Anil Kumar.
He was speaking at the meeting of taluk headteachers at Dr BR Ambedkar Community Centre at H D Kote town recently.
“If a taluk has to develop, the quality of education also matters. Teachers should provide quality education to the students. I have observed the students having an inferiority complex to speak in English. Teachers should get it sorted,” he added.
“Teachers should discuss all the aspects with the students. Teachers should make sure that students don’t drop out of school,” said Tahsildar R Manjunath.
“Around 140 classrooms of 30 schools need to be reconstructed. 184 classrooms of 95 schools need to be repaired completely,” said BEO Revanna.
Taluk president of Karnataka state government employees’ association Nagesh, BRC Shashidhar, director of Akshara Dasoha Siddaraju and others were present. (MR/KS)
