State Bank of Mysore, as part of Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations for 2016, provided a platform to showcase talents of children from special schools, Government Blind School, orphanages and such other schools.
Cultural programmes conducted at the Somani Bed College, Saraswathipuram, included folk/film music (vocal), dance and devotional songs apart from drawings by these students who numbered more than 100 and mesmerised the whole audience. The students were from Government school for Blind, Ranga Rao and Sons’ School for Blind, Chaya Orphanage, Nireekshe School for Special Children, Ajitha Nele School, and others.
Inaugurating the programme, SrinivasK, DGM, SBM, expressed his happiness about the SBM’s Kannada Balaga conducting such a nice programme specially for the so-called neglected sector of the society by providing a platform to exhibit their inbuilt talents on the stage.
Kumaraswamy, Badrinath, Shankar subramaniam, KV Ramanath, Arunkumar Shettar, Chandrasekhar Udupa, Sudha, Radha, Babu, Umesh, Ponnappa and others were present.
