Anand to spearhead Indian challenge at Grand Swiss Chess Tournament

Prime News, National and International Sport, Chess, New Delhi, June 12:- Former world champion Viswanathan Anand will spearhead the Indian challenge at the Grand Swiss Chess Tournament to be held in the Isle of Man from October 10 to 21.

The world chess body, FIDE, said in a statement that the tournament is expected to be the strongest Swiss-system tournament in the history of chess,

Besides Anand, the Indian Grand Masters (GMs) who have qualified for the tournament are P Harikrishna, Vidit Santosh Gujrathi, B Adhiban, K Sasikiran and S P Sethuraman. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
