Animal, birds adopted at Mysore Zoo

Mysuru, June 21:- The animals and birds at Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysore Zoo) have been adopted by individuals under “Adoption of animals” scheme by paying the prescribed fees.

Satya Subramanian from Bengaluru has adopted Grey Parrot, Indian Black Turtle and Western Grey Parrot by paying Rs 2000 each for one year from July 24, 2019 to July 23, 2020, August 26, 2019 to August 25, 2020, July 25, 2019 to July 24, 2019 respectively.

Swathi BV of Tumkuru has adopted Common Peafowl for one year from June 21, 2019 to June 20, 2020 by paying adoption fees of Rs 3,500 while Saket Ghasais from Maharashtra has adopted Cockatiel, Indian Cobra, Peacock-white and King Cobra for the sum of Rs 10,000 from June 13, 2019 to June 12, 2020.

Naaz Abdul Khadar from Bengaluru has adopted Smoth Coated Otter from June 6, 2019 to June 10, 2021 after paying Rs 10,000 as adoption fee and Vivek Sharma from Haryana has adopted Love Birds for Rs 2,000 from June 12, 2019 to June 11, 2020.

Ajit M Kulkarni, executive director, Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Ittigegudu, Mysuru, in a press release has appreciated the gesture and involvement of individuals in wildlife conservation and hopes it inspires others. (NAV)
