Animals, birds adopted at Mysore Zoo

Mysuru, May 17:-Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysore Zoo) in a press release said the following persons have adopted animals and birds under “Adoption of Animals” scheme by paying the adoption fee.

Samyukta KV from Bengaluru has adopted Spotted Whistling Duck for the period May 19, 2019 to May 18, 2020 by paying Rs 2,000 as adoption fee; Vikram A Sreerama of Raichur has adopted Grey Parrot for Rs 2,000 for one year from May 8, 2019 to May 7, 2020 while Shloka Manjunath from Bengaluru has adopted Russel Wiper by paying Rs 2,000 from May 8, 2019 to May 7, 2020 and Vani Rohit Srivastava from Pune has adopted Peacock from May 9, 2019 to May 8, 2020 for Rs 3,500.

Ramya Rohit Srivastava from Pune has adopted Star Tortoise for the period from May 9, 2019 to May 8, 2020 by paying Rs 2,000 as adoption fee; Deepa Nataraj of Mysuru has adopted Star Tortoise for Rs 2,000 for one year from May 7, 2019 to May 6, 2020 while Niranjan from Raichuru has adopted Cockatiel by paying Rs 1,000 from May 14, 2019 to May 13, 2020 and Mohammed Mansoor Ahmed from Mysuru has adopted Budgerigar from May 9, 2019 to May 8, 2020 for Rs 1,000.

H N Ashalatha from Bengaluru has adopted Indian Cobra and Common Barn Owl for Rs 5,500 from May 9, 2019 to May 8, 2020, Aarjith, Mysuru has adopted Lady Amherst’s Phesant for Rs 3,500 from May 9, 2019 to May 8, 2020; M S Sheela, Mysuru has adopted four Indian Cobras and one King Cobra by paying Rs 11,500 from May 9, 2019 to May 8, 2020 while Aathimika M N from Mysuru and Veena G V, Kollegala have adopted Yellow Golden pheasant, Red Avadavit by paying Rs 3,500 and Rs 1,000 from May 9, 2019 to May 8, 2020 and May 7, 2019 to May 6, 2020 respectively.

The zoo management has appreciated the contribution and support from the people and hope this gesture will inspire others and big corporates to join hands with the zoo authorities in conservation of wildlife. (NAV)
