Mysuru, December 16:- Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens here is organising the annual conference of Indian Zoos in collaboration with the Central Zoo Authority, New-Delhi, from December 18 to 21 in the city on the theme ‘Vision 2030 of the zoos of India.’
Addressing a press meet in the city on Saturday, Zoo Authority of Karnataka (ZAK) chairperson Mallige Veeresh said, The inaugural function of the annual conference is scheduled to be held on December 18 at 9 am at Radisson Blu Hotel Conference Hall. Kishan Singh Sugara, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force), Bengaluru, will preside over the function. C S Yelakki, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (retired) and member, Central Zoo Authority; Punati Sridhar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wl), Bengaluru; Dr D N Singh, member- secretary, Central Zoo Authority, New-Delhi; C Jayaram, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wl) and Chief Wildlife Warden, Karnataka, Bengaluru and B P Ravi, Additional. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and member-secretary, ZAK, Mysuru, will be the chief guests.
Deputy Conservator of Forests and executive director of Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens C Ravishankar and others were present.
