Mysuru, February 9:- The Annual School Student Exchange Programme between Gymnasium Konigsbrunn School, Bavaria, Germany and DPIRS, Mysuru, was held at De Paul International Residential School.
A group of 17 students and three staff from Gymnasium Konigsbrunn School visited the host school. A grand reception was organised for the students from Konigsbrunn at the school auditorium. The delegation led by Taufer Volker Michael and Weber Marietta Vinzentia went on a tour around the major landmarks of the heritage city, starting from Janapada Loka – a folk museum to the Madikeri region.
The visitors also had firsthand experience on the teaching-learning process followed in the school by attending classes and also through interacting with teachers and students of DPIRS. The guest students of Gymnasium School also visited the Mysore Palace and Silk factory – KSIC- the proud inheritor of this royal legacy which has been producing silk that reflects the traditional splendour through its rich yet delicate motifs.
On the day before departure, the host students and the guests showcased their talent through music and dance and enthralled the entire De Paulians. Rev Fr Aneesh Mathew, the principal of DPIRS, was thanked by the students and staff of Gymnasium Konigsbrunn School for giving them this gleaming opportunity to develop across cultural skills in a globalised world.
