Ranga Rao Memorial School for Visually Challenged organised the much awaited Sitaranga Memorial Inter-school singing competition in Mysuru recently. Currently in its 18th year, the contest was open to all students, including specially-abled children of class 5 to 10. The contest was judged and prize distribution was done by Sunitha Chandrakumar, composer and teacher, Raghuleela School of Music and M R Shreeharsha, singer and Assitant Professor at Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysuru.
In junior category, Nayana Nagaraj of Pushkarini School won the first prize, Monica of JSS School, Metagalli secured second prize, Anju of JSS School, Metagalli won the third prize and Manu Kumar of government school for blind was awarded consolation prize.
In senior category, Srushti of Pushkarini School won first prize, Suma of Ranga Rao Memorial School for Disabled won the second prize, Mohammed Afrid of Saptaswara School won the third prize and Mariappa of government school for blind was awarded consolation prize.
