Mysuru, November 19:- Annual techno-cultural event MECHTRIX-2K19 was organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at ATME College of Engineering here.
Many technical and cultural competitions were organised and students from various engineering colleges took part in the event. For the first time, the event was also open for PU students from various colleges. The events like ‘Quiz,’ ‘No- Talkies,’ ‘Truss-Stress,’ ‘Lights-Camera-Action,’ ‘Water Bottle Rocket,’ ‘Poster Making,’ ‘Treasure Hunt’ and ‘Just-a-Minute’ were conducted.
The event was inaugurated by Pradyumna S, CEO, ATEU, Mysuru, and an alumnus of ATMECE.
In his inaugural address, Pradyumna shared his experience with his own enterprise ATEU, an App developing company and also encouraged students to take up entrepreneurship. He has also extended his helping hand as a venture capitalist for the students having ideas and wish to develop it.
Dr Basavaraj L, principal, who presided over the inaugural function, appreciated the efforts of students and staff members of the mechanical engineering department in organising the event and advised all students to take part enthusiastically.
Rohith S, assistant professor, Mechanical Department, was one of the event co-ordinator. Dr Rathnakar G, HoD, Mechanical Engineering Department, welcomed the gathering. Students from 5th semester Mohammed Ibrahim compered the programme and Kartik Aiyyappa rendered vote of thanks. (MR)
