Annual techno-cultural fest held at NIE

Mysuru, March 9:- The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) here conducted its annual techno-cultural fest “techNIEks-2019” from March 7 to 9. This cultural youth meet attracted many participants from all
over Karnataka.

As part of techNIEks2019, on March 5, NIE, in association with ‘Avalakki Pavalakki’ movie team, registered under the banner “Pranavah Pictures, Mysuru, conducted an event by name, “A salute to guardians of tricolour.”

The organisers of the event felicitated Suresh Babu, retired Junior Commissioned Officer, Indian Army.

Addressing the gathering, he said that they are at the border to safeguard the country from enemies. “Internal enemies are to be handled very carefully. The youth should use voting power appropriately.” He highlighted that there are many job opportunities in various areas for engineering students in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. “Youth should start thinking on those lines to get into the armed forces.”

This feature film is a suspense/adventure on archaeology, three children and a tribe. Directed by Durga Prasad and produced by Ranjitha Subramanya, it is based on dharma as is stated in the great Indian epic Mahabharata – Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah. It means to say that dharma protects those who uphold dharma, in today’s modern era, this concept has lost its sheen. (MR).
