Another big spike of 522 Covid-19 cases in Mysuru; tally rises to 8,989

Mysuru, August 13:- Another big spike of Covid-19 cases surfaced in Mysuru district on Thursday (August 13), as 522 new Covid-19 cases were reported, thus taking the total number of cases to 8,989.

As many as 637 patients have been discharged from the designated Covid Hospitals after getting cured. A total of 5, 418 patients have been discharged so far. The active number of cases in the district now stands at 3297. The district also recorded 12 deaths on Thursday, taking the tally of fatalities to 274.

Bengaluru Urban has recorded more deaths than any other district in the state. With 22 deaths on August 12, the state’s capital topped the table with 1,338 deaths. The other districts which reported high number of Covid cases are Dakshina Kannada (248), Dharwad (214), Kalaburagi (154), Ballari (139), Hassan (115), Davangere (113), Belagavi (113) and Bidar (103).

Mysuru district has reported as many as 4,114 novel coronavirus cases from August 1 to August 12 and 127 deaths, it has reported 365 cases on August 1, 365 cases on August 2, 238 cases on August 3, 372 cases on August 4, 662 cases on August 5, 261 cases – August 6, 361 cases – August 7 242 cases and on August 8, 138 cases and on August 9 the district registered 455 cases, August 10, 374, on August 11 238 and on August 12, 544 cases of deadly virus.

Mysuru district reported as many as 105 deaths in the past 12 days from August 1 to August 12. On August 1, the district registered 9 deaths, August 2 – 10 deaths, August 3 – 13 fatalities, August 4 – 9 deaths, August 5 – 11 deaths, August 6 – 4 deaths, August 7 – 15 deaths and on August 8 – 10 deaths, on August 9 – 12 deaths and August 10, 5 deaths and on August 11, 11 deaths and on August 12 it registers 12 fatalities.
