Anti-farmer policies of Modi government flayed

Mysuru, January 19:- Karnataka Prantha Raitha Sangha and Centre of Indian Trade Union of Mysuru District on Saturday staged protest against the alleged anti-farmer policies of the central government.

The protesters who gathered in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here, lashed out at the Centre for not keeping the promise of giving ‘Achhe din.’ They alleged that the Modi government is favouring private companies in the name of globalisation. They said that the government is not trying to implement Dr Swaminathan Committee report and for not taking adequate measures to control the farmers’ suicide. They also urged the Centre to stop privatisation of government sectors.
