Mysuru, August 11:- Anti-nuclear day was observed at Gangotri PU College on Bogadi main road held in memory of the nuclear attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan.
Principal of the college, Sridhar explained how the nuclear attack was carried out by the US and the European countries on August 8, 1945. He explained how the United Nations intervened and collected signatures of all the nations staying away from using nuclear weapons on September 2, 1945.
Scientist Dr Krishnan Doreswamy explained the impact of the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki even today. He answered the curious questions raised by students.
