Mysuru, May 28:- Sanjivini Cancer Care Trust, Maharani PU College, Narayana Multi-speciality Hospital, and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan are jointly observing Anti-Tobacco Day on May 31.
“The programme will be held at Kalamandir at 10:30 am. Someshwaranatha seer of Adichunchanagiri branch mutt, MLA Dr Yatindra Siddaramaiah, MLA L Nagendra, social worker Handanahalli S Ramesh, Apex Bank director P Basavegowda, senior journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar and others will be present,” said founder of the trust Ramesh Bilikere at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Tuesday.
“Book ‘Kidi’ edited by writer Prof Maleyuru Guruswamy will be released on the occasion and he will speak about the book,” he informed.
“A rally will be held through the main thoroughfares of the city to create awareness regarding the harms of tobacco. Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath will flag off the rally at 9:30 am,” he added.
