Arjun Janya undergoes angioplasty, out of danger: Hospital releases health bulletin

Mysuru, February 27:- Noted music director Arjun Janya who suffered a minor heart attack on Wednesday night has undergone angioplasty surgery and is now out of danger, said the health bulletin released by the Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru.

Cardiologist Dr Aditya Udupa said that the music director underwent angioplasty and is out of danger. He said that the situation would have been bad if he was brought to the hospital two hours later. He said that everything is fine now with Arjun Janya.

Arjun Janya was admitted to the hospital due to gastric, headache, chest pain and back pain. He recovered after the treatment. When his ECG was checked on Tuesday, there were some fluctuations. His problems intensified by then. Later his stomach pain was reduced but back pain and headache continued. He also had chest pain. Angiogram test was performed on him and a blockage was found in his heart.

Immediately, his family members were contacted and angioplasty was done at 2:30 am. Now he has been shifted to the ward from ICU.

He had come to Mysuru to attend the wedding of Chandan Shetty and Nivedita Gowda. He has been giving hit songs for a few years and is also a judge in TV reality shows. He is presently working for the movie ‘Robert’ of popuar Kannada actor Darshan Tugudeep. The audio of ‘Robert’ is to launch on March 21. (MR/KS)
