‘Art works’ by kids on flood ravaged Kodagu presented to Defence Minister

Madikeri, August 25:- Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman received meaningful ‘Art works’ from the children residing at relief camps in Kodagu District.

Nirmala Sitharaman who visited Kodagu District on Friday in the wake of floods and landslides that hit the region recently, received ‘Special’ paintings from the children residing at relief camps.

Children presented art works (done using crayons and colour pencils) which portrayed the flash floods in Kodagu, during the Defence Minister’s visit.

The students presented the Defence Minister their art works titled ‘Natural Disaster’ focusing on the flood situation and calamity in Kodagu District.

The young children vividly portrayed the flood situation in Kodagu as seen by their own eyes. The terrains,  felling of trees, the flow of water, the incessant rains, the clouds, heavy downpour which destroyed the houses, people running to save their lives during the landslides and the rescue operations carried out by airlifting people in the flood-hit region. The paintings were done by the children on canvas paper.

The art works by the children looked so realistic than the usual ‘Imaginary’ paintings.
