ASHA workers hold postcard protest in Mysuru

Mysuru, July 15:- Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers held a postcard protest here on Wednesday, urging the government to fulfil their demands.

The volunteers, who had gathered in front of the head Post Office at Nehru Circle, posted cards to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa regarding their demands. They requested the government to fix a salary of Rs 12,000 to ASHA workers and give due recognition to the service of 42,000 ASHA workers in the state.

ASHA workers have held protests for 6 days for now in association with AIUTUC. (MR/KS)
