‘Asmi – Eco Club’ launched at Capitol Public School in Mysuru

Mysuru, June 26:- Asmi – Gracious Living, launched its first ever ‘Asmi – Eco Club,’ a social initiative, with the intention of nurturing and instilling amongst the young generations, the importance of sustainability and sustainable living at Capitol Public School at Saraswathipuram in the city on Wednesday

The founder of Asmi – Gracious Living, Smita Tom and Shradhha Pathak, inaugurated the Eco Club by donating vegetable saplings to Annie Joseph, principal, Capitol Public School.

Meenala Satyamurthy, school coordinator, Mohana, teacher in-charge of the Eco Club and 40 student members of the club were present.

Asmi – Gracious Living, plans to start an Eco Club in schools across Mysuru, wherein the students will be taught to ‘grow their own food’ by establishing a vegetable garden in their premises.  They also plan on conducting awareness classes on various environmental issues and will also teach students to identify basic medicinal herbs and their uses. Asmi – Gracious Living will contribute all the necessary items like seeds, seedlings, saplings, grow bags,  etc., and mentor the students in plant care.
