Assembly polls: Rivalry comes out in the open

Mysuru, February 12:- The 2018 assembly elections are fast nearing. The ticket aspirants of JD(S) from T Narasipur reserved constituency are going all out to jump into the fray.  All the 10 JD(S) ticket aspirants held a press meet and assured HD Kumaraswamy and HD Deve Gowda of working for the party’s success.

A ticket aspirant, Prof H Govindaiah requested Kumaraswamy to not announce Ashwin Kumar as JD(S) candidate.

“We appreciate Kumaraswamy for calling all the ticket aspirants and discussing with them. But we request him not to consider  Ashwin. He had assured that he will announce the candidate once the survey is done. But we are surprised and shocked when Ashwin Kumar was also invited for the meeting of aspirants held on February 5. If he is given the party ticket, it will be a death blow for the party. He has not come to ensure JD(S) win, but to help District In-charge Minister’s son,” Govindaiah alleged at the press meet held at a private hotel here in the city.

S N Siddharatha, Dharani Sundareshan, Dr B K Jnana Prakash, H Vasu, S Mahesh Kumar, S Shankar and others were present. (MR/KS).
