Assembly polls: Tribal leader wants Cong ticket

Mysuru, March 27:- “The Congress which advocates social justice should give a ticket for me to contest from H D Kote reserve constituency to contest in the assembly polls,” said tribal communities social justice committee leader Shivaraj at a press meet at Mysuru press club here on Tuesday.

“There are 115 tribal hadis in H D Kote taluk. More than 48,000 people stay there and 32,000 among them are voters. All of them want me to contest and if I am given the ticket, I will win the election,” he added.

He said that MP Dhruvanarayan responded positively to his request.

Shivaraj said that the tribals were not given prominence after the victory of J K Subbaiah of Jenu Kuruba community.

Puttamalla, Basavaraj, Nataraj were present. (MR/KMR).
