The Department of Mechanical Engineering, ATME College of Engineering and GTTC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), here recently
Dr L Basavaraj, Principal, ATMECE and K L Prakash, Deputy General Manager, GTTC, signed the MoU.
The MoU is intended to bridge the skill gap existing between the institution and the industry. GTTC is an autonomous society and a recognised scientific and research organisation by the Government of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Prakash outlined about the facilities available at the training institute and various training programmes that can be conducted for the benefit of the students of ATMECE.
Dr Basavaraj said that providing the exposure of industrial working ambience to students will help to gain potential knowledge in their domain and enhances employability.
L Arun Kumar, chairman, ATMECE, who addressed the gathering, pointed out that the interaction between the industry and the institution helps to mould the students to meet tomorrow’s challenges.
Dr Rathnakar G, Head of the Department, Mechanical Engineering, ATMECE, highlighted the importance of industry-institution relationships. All the staff members of mechanical engineering department were present.
