Attack on housewife at Ramakrishna Nagar

A man tried to attack a housewife at Ramakrishna Nagar, on Tuesday afternoon. Pooja Singh (34), a resident of Ramakrishna Nagar, was alone at home when the incident took place. Her husband works as a software engineer.

Pooja heard someone knocking the door. When she opened the door, she found an unknown man holding a sharp knife.

He tried to get inside the house and attack Pooja. She bravely faced him and shouted for help. During the attack, he injured her hand with the knife. Hearing her screams, neighbours came rushing to the spot. The attacker ran away from the spot, leaving his two-wheeler behind. Neighbours tried to catch him, but he managed to escape.

Pooja has filed a complaint in Kuvempunagar police station. The police sub inspector Muttu Shetty seized the two-wheeler and traced the owner of the vehicle Pradeep, a resident of Sharadadevi Nagar, who works as a milk vendor. He has been taken into custody by the police and produced before the court.
