Mysuru, November 21:- “The person who attacked MLA Tanveer Sait is an active member of PFI and SDPI. The police investigations have proved it,” said the Home Minister, Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday.
He was speaking to media persons in the city regarding the attack on the MLA.
“It is a clear murder attempt over ideological differences, political power and existence. The investigation will be completed in the next two days. It is clear that this attack and murders of Raju and others in Bengaluru are similar. If the above-mentioned issues are true, then those organisations will be banned,” he said.
Responding to his son’s pressure on the investigation of KPL match-fixing row, the home minister brushed away such allegations.
“These are all false allegations. My son has nothing to do with this. I have only ordered a strict investigation into this issue. I was also a cricketer and my son is also a cricketer. If you have doubts, ask the police whether my son pressurised them,” he added.
“Sait is recovering at the hospital. He walked for some time in the ward in the morning. He is breathing well and had breakfast. There is nothing more to worry about his health,” Bommai added. (MR/KS)
