Mysuru, September 11:- Responding to the alleged attempt by the state BJP leaders to topple the Congress-JD(S) coalition government, chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said it shows the narrowmindedness of the BJP leaders.
“BJP leaders are more worried about weakening the government than reconstructing the state. I will not respond to this. My duty is only to work for the state. I have no information about the so-called operation Kamala. I came to know this through media. Jarakiholi brothers are in constant touch with me. Congress leaders have to solve their problems,” he said.
“We have requested the central government for drought compensation. We have lost crops worth Rs 8,000 crore. We have requested the Centre to release at least Rs 2,000 crore now. A team from Delhi will be visiting the state to take stock of the drought situation. They have responded to our request. They have given their primary report. They will give a report on pepper and coffee crops,” the CM added. (MR/KS).
