Avigna Dance Ensemble to present Bharatanatyam

Vid G Narendra, director of Avigna Dance Ensemble, Chennai, and his troupe will be presenting a unique Bharatanatyam recital on August 7 at Veenesheshanna Bhavan in city. 

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Narendra said that he along with his associate K Mahalakshmi jointly head Avigna Dance Ensemble, a group of dedicated professional dancers. We will be performing on Sunday at Avigna Dance Ensemble and will focus primarily on providing value-based entertainment which is widely known for its sensitivity, creativity and lucid presentation. 

Profile of G Narendra

Back in 1992, G Narendra was counted among the country’s most promising dancers. The old guard gave way to the new during his six years’ grooming at Kalakshetra, and the boy impressed even his martinet teachers in key roles in major productions. His bristling energy and bubbling joy made him a hit with the audience.

In Kalakshetra, Narendra has performed lead roles in the ballets and has toured with them on various festivals of India and abroad. Narendra is a strong yet sensitive dancer with a radiant stage personality, he has portrayed a great variety of roles with versatility.
