Awareness campaign condemning poor quality works: Ramadas

Mysuru, October 4:- “B S Yeddyurappa led BJP government had released grants in crore for the development of the city under ‘Nagarothana’ scheme. But the State Congress government has carried out poor quality works with the money,” alleged former minister S A Ramadas.

Addressing a press meet here in the city on Wednesday Ramadas said, “An awareness campaign rally will be held on October 6 from JSS Vidyapeetha to sewage farm at 11 am. We will plant saplings in potholes throughout the road.”

“The state Congress government has miserably failed to utilise the grants. It has made the city to lag behind in development. Rs 10 crore was released for the development of roads at KR constituency ward 1,4,5,6,10 and 11. But only Rs 5.95 crore was spent for the works,” he alleged.

The former minister also requested the state government to clear up Raja canal to avoid any further flood like situations in the city.
