Mysuru, October 10:- Vipra Sahayavani organised ‘Kadu-Nadu’ programme on Tuesday to bolster the future of the children of mahouts and kavadis. The children were provided with books and study materials.
“Children of forest are special. Their life is with nature and animals. If they are given professional guidance, they can achieve greater heights. We will be with them, not only during Dasara Festivities but always,” said the president of the association D T Prakash.
Social worker Raghuram Vajapayee said that the books are distributed to the children on the occasion of Navaratri, seeking the blessings of the Goddess Chamundeshwari.
Organising secretary of Brahmins’ Association, Srikanta Kumar, convener of Vipra Sahayavani Jayasimha, Kadakola Jagadish, Homma Manjunath, Murali and others were present. (MR/KS).
