Mysuru, June 5:- The ambassador of Swacch Bharat campaign of Mysuru, former cricketer Javagal Srinath inaugurated a rally organised to mark world environment day and to create awareness regarding differentiating garbage from houses.
He flagged off the rally at the premises of Kote Anjaneya temple on Monday.
“Mysuru won the cleanest city award for two consecutive years. Visitors come in lakhs every day to the heritage city. It is our responsibility to keep the city clean. If we arrange the garbage from households, then the garbage problem will be half solved. It will also help us to be healthy. Everyone should extend their support to MCC to keep the city clean,” said Javagal Srinath.
Hundreds of students of various schools and colleges were present in the rally.
