Awareness rally on Malaria taken out in Mysuru

Mysuru, June 23:- An awareness rally was held from the premises of Epidemics Control office in the city on Saturday to mark Malaria Awareness month and to eradicate malaria by 2020.

Corporator Srikantaiah flagged off the rally.

“Even after so many years, we still have to create awareness about malaria. The disease is not spreading the way it was several years ago. We should hold more such rallies to create awareness among the public. If we make children to take part in such rallies, the society will get to know more of this. We aim at eradicating malaria by 2020,” he added.

Deputy Mayor Indira, health officer Dr Mahesh, Dr Chidambaram, Dr Maheshwarappa and others were present. (GK, NGB)
