Ayurvedic doctor killed in car mishap

Mysuru, June 1:-  A 30-year-old ayurvedic doctor was killed on the spot in the early hours of Thursday when the car which he was driving crashed into the compound wall of JSS Urban Haat on the Outer Ring Road in Hebbal, here.

The deceased has been identified as Dr Chetan Kumar, a resident of Bogadi in the city. He was married and is survived by his wife, two children and a host of relatives and friends.

The mishap occurred at around 3 am on Thursday when Dr Kumar was proceeding towards Bogadi on ORR near Bharat Cancer Hospital. The accident may have happened when Dr Kumar suddenly fell asleep while driving the car, it is learnt. It is also said that the doctor was driving the car without wearing his seat belt.

VV Puram Traffic Police Inspector Vivekanand and his team visited the spot. The body of the deceased person has been sent for autopsy at the mortuary at MMC&RI in the city. A case has been registered at the VV Puram Traffic Police Station.
