Mysuru, November 13:- “Ayushman Scheme is active in 21 private hospitals and 26 government hospitals of Mysuru,” said district health officer (DHO) Dr R Venkatesh.
He was addressing a press meet in the city on Tuesday regarding the scheme.
“2,69,020 Ayushman cards have been distributed in the city. 35,944 cards are in government hospitals and 2,33,076 are to private hospitals. We are hoping to distribute more cards,” he added.
“Public are being given information regarding Ayushman Bharat and Arogya Karnataka Scheme. Ayush camps are being held at each taluk. Ayushman scheme has completed one year and we have achieved our target so far,” he said.
Responding to private hospitals not obeying the rules of the scheme, the DHO said that the licence of the hospitals not following the rules will be cancelled as KPME Act has been strengthened. (MR/KS)
