Mysuru, March 28:- Janata Dal (Secular) state president and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy attended Vipra Samparka Abhiyana, organised by Mysuru District Brahmana Yuva Vedike at Chamundipuram on Tuesday evening.
“Though BJP and Congress have accepted votes of Brahmins, they have not provided any schemes for the economically backward Brahmins. When priests, cooks, teachers, and small-scale merchants suffer from health problems, they need government help. Brahmin organisations are urging for ‘Vipranidhi’ as introduced by the Telangana government. I had assured them of starting a fund of Rs 100 crore for their sake if JD(S) comes to power,” said Kumaraswamy.
MLAs G T Devegowda, Sa Ra Mahesh, Dr K Raghuram Vajapayee, Prashanth, Srikanth Kashyap, Apurva Suresh, H N Sridharamurthy, Mulluru Guruprasad, Vikram Iyengar, Ajay Shastry, Varuna Prashanth, Kadakola Jagadish and others were present. (MR/SH).
