Mysuru, January 12:- The much-awaited theatre festival, Bahuroopi – National theatre festival 2019 begins at Rangayana from today. Senior theatre activist Prasanna will inaugurate the event at 6 pm at Vanaranga.
The Ramayana Darshanam play directed by K G Mahabaleshwara will be staged after the inauguration.
Plays to be staged on January 13:
Ek Dhotrachi Goshta (Marathi) – at Kiru Rangamandira at 6 pm
Sri Devi Mahathme (Kannada) – Bhoomi Geetha at 6:30 pm
1084 yes mother (Tamil) – Vanaranga at 7 pm.
Mahasagaram (Malayalam) – Kalamandir at 8 pm.
Kiru Rangamandira: plays will be held at 6 pm everyday.
Agarbatti directed by Swathi Dubey (Hindi) – January 14.
Dharmapatra (Kannada) directed by Mukunda Ningannavar on January 15.
Mule nan bi (Manipuri) directed by Chanam Nillabira on January 16.
Ravana in ten minds (Gujarati) directed by Harshal Vyas on January 17.
Ratinath ki chachi (Hindi) – on January 18.
Sri Devi Mahathme (Kannada) directed by Mangala on January 13.
Item (Gujarati) directed by Arpita Dhagat on January 14.
Hum Muqtara directed by Usha Ganguly on January 15.
Bagh (Assami) directed by Rajibita Gogoy on January 16.
Bali (English) directed by Nimmy Rafale on January 17.
Rex hours, Dyno Ekangi Payana directed by Shravan Heggodu on January 18.
Sadyakkidu Huchara Santhe (Kannada) directed by Mahadeva Hadapada on January 14.
Bulha (Punjabi) directed by Keval Dhalival on January 15.
Dakshayajna Kannada Yakshagana on January 16.
Hoogali (Kannada) directed by Joseph John on January 17.
Mooru Hejje Mooru Loka (Kannada) directed by Dr Sripada Bhat on January 18.
12 plays of various Indian languages and 6 Kannada plays from various districts will be staged. 24 movies will be telecasted. 70 stalls will be set up at the Rangayana premises which offer books, handicrafts, food items. (MR/KMR).
