A 15-days internship programme for civil and CTM engineering students was conducted by ‘Shilpi,’ the students’ wing of Builders’ Association of India (BAI) Mysuru centre, in city recently.
Internship was conducted in five batches at various construction sites where 60 students from five engineering colleges of Mysuru and Mandya had practical exposure to various stages of ongoing construction activities. The entire event was co-ordinated by Chandrashekar Bharadhwaj, K T Govindaraj and Santhosh Mirle.
Students who successfully completed the internship programme and submitted the report were issued certificates at the valedictory programme held at MBCT (Mysore Builders Charitable Trust) premises.
Former state chairman and national head for Constitution and Bye-Laws Committee of BAI, K Sriram gave valuable advice to budding civil engineers.
Certificates were distributed to ‘Shilpi’ students who participated in 15 days survey on traffic in Mysuru conducted by CEPT (Centre for Environment Planning and Technologies), Ahmedabad, under the instruction of Ministry of Urban Developement, Government of India.
Chairman of BAI Mysuru N Subramanya, secretary B S Dinesh, executive committee member Mahabaleshwara Bairy, V Srinath, M D Chandrashekar and member Irshad Husain Khan were also present.
