Bettadapura PSI warns youths against fleecing public

Mysuru, February 12:- PSI of Bettadapura Police Station visited the mining area of Periyapattana and warned youths who were trying to collect money from the public on some pretext.

The incident took place at Kasuvinakere village in Periyapattana. One Jnanesh is running mining with due permission from the authorities. Annaiah and Ramesh of Periyapattana tried to fleece money from him but Jnanesh spurned their request. They called Bettadapura Police and gave false information saying explosives have been planted in the mining area. PSI Lokesh visited the spot for inspection.

He found that the allegation was false and thoroughly inquired the complainants and asked why have they come to a place which is not their village. He wondered if they were from the mining department to carry out a raid. He warned them against forcing anyone for money and said they would face legal consequences if they continue to do so.
