Bharath Cancer Hospital staff take out Cancer awareness rally

A human chain was formed and a Cancer awareness rally too was held by the Bharath Cancer Hospital staff including nursing staff and medical students from various colleges in the city on Tuesday to mark the `World No Tobacco Day.’

The rally which com­menced from Basavesh­wara statue via Chamaraja Double Road culminated at Ekalavya Circle. Over 500 people participated in the rally.

Dr Guruswamy, medical superintendent, JSS Hos­pital, Mysuru, was the chief guest. Dr M S Vishveshwara, medical superintendent and chief radiation oncologist and Dr Y S Madhavai, senior radiation oncologist, Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology, Mysuru, explained on cancer awareness and the ill Hospi­effects of tobacco consumption, states a press release from Bharath Cancer Hospital PRO Nishanth.
