Mysuru, September 19:- Karunamayi Dr Vishnuvardhan Abhimani Balaga observed the 69th birthday of renowned Kannada actor late Dr Vishnuvardhan with the children of mahouts at Mysuru Palace premsies on Wednesday.
Veteran actress Bharathi Vishnuvardhan distributed books and writing materials to the children of mahouts and cut a cake with them.
“Children of the forest have a special talent. Their lives are integrated with nature. If they are given proper professional education, they can do wonders. Vishnuvardhan too was concerned about the environment and animals. Karunamayi Fans’ Association is observing his birthday without flexes and crackers,” she said.
“Though Vishnuvardhan is from Mysuru, he is well-known for his acting skills everywhere. His movies were family-oriented. They were giving a good message to the society. He used to raise his voice whenever it mattered for Kannada and Karnataka. He gave the idea of the film city in Mysuru. His simple living is a role model for everyone. The government should observe his Jayanti by Kannada and Culture Department,” said District Brahmins’ Association president DT Prakash.
President of Vishnuvardhan Fans’ Association MD Parthasarathy urged the government to develop Dr Vishnuvardhan Park and install a statue of the veteran actor.
Cine actor Aniruddha, daughter of Vishnuvardhan Keerthi Vishnuvardhan, Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath, Vikram Iyengar, Ajay Shastry, Kadakola Jagadish, Harish Naidu, Chakrapani, Suchindra, Srinidhi Vasishta, Madhu and others were present. (MR/KS)
