Bheru Foundation celebrates Sudha Murty’s birthday

Mysuru, August 19:- Bheru Foundation of the city celebrated the birthday of Infosys Foundation chairperson and novelist Sudha Murty at Chamundipuram Circle here on Wednesday (August 19). Saplings were planted to mark the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, well-known Ayurvedic doctor, Dr Chandrashekar said, “Though very rich, Sudha Murty believes in a simple life. She helped thousands of people after coronavirus pandemic hit the state. When Kodagu district was ravaged by floods last year, she donated funds liberally. We need to look to Sudha Murty to know what is life. She is a role model for every Indian.”

Former Mysuru City Corporation councillor Parthasarathy said, “Sudha Murty has carved a niche as a philanthropist. Her contribution to Swachh Bharat, children development, orphanages, skill development programme, development of lakes and the government relief fund is noteworthy. I shall pray to Goddess Chamundeshwari to bless Sudha Murty with good health and more prosperity.”

Bheru Foundation president Madhu N, Krishnarajendra Sahakari Bank vice-president Basavaraj Basappa, industrialist Apoorva Suresh, general secretary Jai Arjun, Jayasimha, Sridhar, Vinay Kanagal, Srinivas Urs, Suchindra and Chakrapani were present. (MR/KS)
