Mysuru, December 24:- Bird festival is being organised to mark Magi Utsav on December 28 and 29 in association with Mysuru district administration and forest department.
Deputy commissioner Abhiram G Sankar, who himself a bird enthusiast, has made preparations to organise the event. Bird watching will be held at Karanji lake, Kukkarahalli lake, Giribettada lake, Varakodu lake, Lingamudhi lake and Hebbal lake. A technical session will be held at auditorium of Mysuru zoo.
The event will be inaugurated at the auditorium of Mysuru zoo. Technical session will be held from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. Abhisheka Rajagopal will speak about instilling a love for birds among people. Abhiram G Sankar will speak about bird watching.
Members of Mysuru Nature will speak about the preparations of bird watching from 2:30 pm to 3 pm. Bird watching will be held from 3:30 pm to 6 pm. Each team can have a maximum of 20 members.
Suhail Quader will speak about understanding birds through science. B R Sheshagiri will speak about birds of Mysuru region. Experience sharing will be held from 2:30 pm to 4 pm.
December 26 is the last date for registration. Rs 200 will be charged as a fee. Participants have to make arrangements for their accommodation. For online registration, visit mdc.psmedia.in (MR/KS).
