Mysuru, January 7:- Krishnaraja Constituency MLA S A Ramadass observed hundreds of people, including women and elderly people, waiting in long queues for birth and death certificates at Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). The MLA instructed the Commissioner of MCC to look into the problems.
When he asked about the delay, the MLA learnt that new software has been developed for issuing the birth and death certificates and it has got some problems. The MCC Commissioner instructed the officials to provide the certificates at zonal offices from Monday onward. He asked them to get the amount collected at the zonal offices and allow the people to see the online applications. He said that a helpline would be provided for the purpose. (MR/SH)
