NDA govt trying to alter constitution: Prakash Ambedkar

Mysuru, May 26:- “Constitution of India has been sidelined since the inception of Modi government. The state governments are trying to twist the Constitution,” said grandson of Dr B R Ambedkar, Prakash Y Ambedkar here on Friday.

He was speaking after inaugurating public awareness programme and Mysuru chalo at Kalamandir.

“None of the parties has worked to abide by the Constitution so far. The BJP government is working against the fundamentals of the Constitution. Sensible voters should vote cautiously to the parties that can safeguard the Constitution,” he added.

“The BJP leaders who are behaving as if having food at the house of dalits as an achievement should be taught a lesson. Modi and Amit Shah should apologize for the mistake their party members have done. Dalits should not give even a glass of water to the BJP and RSS members,” he added.

Jnanaprakasha seer of Urilinga Peddimutt, Bhanthe Bodhidatta, former Mayor Purushotham, president of dalit sangharsha samiti R Mohanraj, secretary Basavaraja Kauthal and others were present. (MR/BM).
