BJP high command may appoint new CM of Karnataka in a week

Prime News, National, Karnataka, Politics, New Delhi/Bengaluru, July 26:- Amid the high octane political developments in Karnataka, reliable sources have informed that the Bharatiya Janata Party will rush a team of observers to Karnataka while B S Yediyurappa serves as the caretaker Chief Minister. 
The decision for the new Chief Ministerial candidate is expected to be announced in a week, sources added. The decision will be taken by the party high command and state leadership. 
The 78-year-old senior BJP leader and Lingayat strongman tendered his resignation on Monday (July 26) after the completion of two years of the BJP government in Karnataka.
The prominent candidates being considered for the post of Chief Minister include Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Ministers Basavaraj Bommai, Murugesh Nirani, Dr C N Ashwathnarayan and Dharwad West MLA Aravind Bellad, sources said. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
