Mysuru, October 23:- Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Mayor Tasneem Bano criticising Mysuru-Kodagu Member of Parliament Pratap Simha has not gone down well with many Bharatiya Janata Party leaders. Talking to reporters at Mysuru Press Club here on Friday (October 23), BJP city president T Srivatsa said, “What is  the Mayor’s contribution since she took charge? Simha has through the Centre got sanctioned many road and railway projects for the heritage city. Mayor Bano has no moral right to speak against the MP.”

Continuing his attack, Srivatsa said, “She has not done much for her Ward itself. She is wasting time, making false allegations against others. It is high time she does some constructive work in future. As the Mayor, she should think of Mysuru as a whole. Political statements are not expected of her.”

Training his guns on Congress leader Siddaramaiah, the BJP leader said, “Calling BJP state  president Nalin Kumar Kateel a ‘wild man’ is not in good taste. He should be careful when he talks of our leaders. He should withdraw his statement against Kateel and apologise.”

BJP leaders Mohan, Subbaiah, H G Giridhar and Somasundar were present at the press meet. (MR/KS).
