BJP leader questions govt move on teachers’ salary

Mysuru, August 4:- Niranjan Murthy, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate who lost in the Legislative Council elections, condemned the financial department separating special allowance of lecturers from salary. He alleged that the department has sidelined the Education Department completely.

He said that the Education Department has insulted the teachers by deducting salaries, citing poor results in schools, which is nothing short of humiliation. Murthy warned of stern protests if the state government fails to release salary on time every month.

Murthy urged the government to immediately appoint a vice chancellor for the University of Mysore.

Former Syndicate member of UoM Jagadish, Kumaraswamy and Nagaraj were present. (MR/KMR).
