BJP leaders, workers stage protest; demand Minister KJ George’s resignation

Mysuru, September 16:- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) city unit on Saturday staged a protest demanding the resignation of K J George, Minister for Bengaluru Development and Town Planning.

The protesters who gathered at Gandhi Square here, said that as the Supreme Court has ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the death of Dy SP Ganapathy, the then home minister and the current Bengaluru Development Minister George who’s name is among the suspects, has to tender his resignation immediately for an impartial probe. The protesters chanted slogans against the state government and George.

BJP city president Dr B H Manjunath, BJP leaders Nandish Preetham, Nagendra, Snake Shyam, Phaneesh, Prabhakar Shindhe and more than 300 party cadre took part in the protest.

Similar protests were staged in Bengaluru on Saturday urging Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to drop Minister George from the cabinet.
