BJP MP Srinivas Prasad turns 75, announces political retirement

Prime News, National, Constitution, Democracy, Politics, Mysuru, August 6:- Chamarajanagar Member of Parliament V Srinivas Prasad turned 75 here on Friday (August 6).

The veteran BJP leader made a big announcement that he is going to retire from active politics and that he would not contest elections in the future.

Talking on the occasion, Prasad said, “To mark 50 years of my political career, a book is being released. I have recorded all the ups and downs of my career. With utmost satisfaction, I am announcing my retirement. In fact, I wanted to retire four years back. But due to compulsions, I was forced to take back my decision. Today’s decision is final and I shall stick to that.”

Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) chairman H V Rajeev greeted Prasad with a bouquet on his birthday.

BJP leader Yeshaswini Somashekar, MUDA member Lingaiah and others were present on the occasion. (MR, KS)
